EXPEDITION PLANNING. Sept. 29, 7 p.m. in Salt Lake City. Join Dan Smith for a presentation on training, equipment, domestic travel and foreign travel for planning longer hiking trips.

FALL BACKPACKING. Sept. 30, 7 p.m. in Orem. Clinic will focus on hints to lighten your load but keep a comfortable camp. Clothing, tents, bags, etc.

CAMP COOKING. Oct. 6, 7 p.m. at Salt Lake City; Oct. 7, 7 p.m. at Orem. Join Mike Fagundes, Alpine County Club chef, as he demonstrates some of his backpacking recipes. Learn to cook meals of vegatables and herbs after a long day of hiking.
