Police are searching for two people who committed an armed robbery at a Taco Bell Sunday night.

Just after 8 p.m., the two confronted an employee of the restaurant, 1244 N. Freedom Blvd., said Provo Police Sgt. Gary Hodson. One had a semiautomatic pistol and struck the employee on the side of the face with the weapon.After taking an undisclosed amount of cash, the pair fled the scene on foot. Both are described as being between 16 and 18 years of age.

The employee was treated for minor injuries at the scene by Provo paramedics.
