Lova Garff Drown Thurgood Bollschweiler, 85, passed away September 26, 1998.
She was born July 22, 1913 in Magna, Utah to Enno Almond and Connie Mable Garff Drown. Married Elwood F. "Buss" Thurgood, in Salt Lake City, Utah on September 6, 1935. Buss died March 31, 1968. She married Charles L. Bollschweiler in Salt Lake City, Utah on September 30, 1976. Charles died January 8, 1990. Lova was active in the LDS Church serving as Relief Society President, secretary, teacher and visiting teacher. She worked at Sears for many years and J. C. Penney and at ZCMI. She loved to bowl and in her younger years, she loved swimming.Lova was loved by her family and friends. Her greatest calling was that of being a mother and grandmother to a large family that she took to her heart when she married our father, Charles. We loved her and appreciated all of her love, tenderness, teachings and companionship that she gave to us and our families. The family expresses special thanks to the caregivers at St. Joseph Villa for their dedicated and loving care.
Survivors: daughters, Mrs. Carl (Jane) Petersen, Mrs. Miles (Carol) Clarke, Mrs. Clyde (Kaye) Lemmon, Mrs. Ray (Linda) Badovinatz; sons, David L. Bollschweiler (Brynn), Kent R. Bollschweiler (Teresa); 28 grandchildren and 46 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Arva Drown and Deane Martin; also many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by brothers, Enno Nyle Drown and Earl Drown; sister, Merle Bills.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 30, 1998 at 11 a.m. in the Murray 19th LDS Ward Chapel 100 West 6100 South. Friends may call at Goff Mortuary 8090 So. State Tuesday 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday at the church from 9:45-10:45 a.m. Interment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
