Our Beloved and cherished, husband, father, grandfather, and friend was released into the arms of God on September 16, 1998.
He was born November 16, 1910, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Theodore Lane and Nina Burnham McKean. He married the love of his life, Norma W. Parker on October 11, 1946. They had five children, Susan (Sam) Collett, Clair (Rip) McKean-Pett, Kelly McKean, and Shelly, who preceded him in death, and Duncan McKean and special friend Betty Williams. Also Bob McKean, Reston, Virginia and Donna Angle, Sacramento, California. He had four grandchildren that he adored , Shane, Isaac, Ruby and Wyatt.Survived by sister Ramona Racker and Lillian Dearinger. He was preceded in death by sister, Ruth and brothers, Bob, Rex and Jim McKean.
Al will always be remembered for his humility and generosity. He was a man of great integrity and honesty. He has a charisma about him and he loved people as much as they loved him. His beautiful thick white hair was his trademark. He proudly served his country during World War II. He retired from the Granite School District.
Because it was Al's wishes, a small memorial service was held on September 18, 1998 with his beloved family present. We will miss him greatly and there will always be a void in our hearts but his love will remain with us forever.
