Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, Earl Leon Huff, returned home to his Heavenly-Father on September 24, 1998 of heart failure.
He was born August 19, 1924 in Castle Gate, Utah, son of Charles E. and Ann Warner Huff. He married Margaret Davis on June 12, 1943, solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on June 18, 1965.They lived in Price, Utah where Leon worked as a coal miner. He attended and graduated from electronic school in Salt Lake City then moved his family to Seattle where he was employed as an electronic technician with Boeing. Leon was founder and president of Vend-Co Corp. in Renton, Washington where he loved his candy machines and the family loved their "candy man." He retired to Bountiful, Utah and was a member of the Bountiful 34th LDS Ward High Priest Quorum. He held various positions in the LDS Church throughout his life. Leon is a veteran of World War II.
Survived by his eternal companion, Margaret; three sons, Earl Leon Huff, Jr., of Auburn, Washington; David Wayne Huff, of Renton, Washington; and Larry Leon Huff, of Midvale, Utah; three daughters, Sharon Booher, of Bountiful, Utah; Lawanna Condie, of Renton, Washington; and Gloria Marshall, of Anchorage, Alaska; three sons-in-law; three daughters-in-law; 30 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; brothers, Verl, Burt, and Udel Huff; two sisters, Rosetta Trims, and LoaAnn Krompell. Preceded in death by his parents; brother, Burnell Huff; and grandson, Chad T. Condie.
Funeral service will be held Monday, September 28, 1998 at 10 a.m. in the Bountiful 34th Ward Chapel, 540 North 1200 East. Friends may call Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main and Monday at the church one hour prior to service. Following the service in Bountiful, a funeral will be held in the Helper, Utah Ward Chapel at 3 p.m. Friends may call 30 minutes prior to service. Interment in the Helper Cemetery.
