Ralph E. Creed, age 94, of Orem passed away on September 24, 1998.

He was born in Glouchestershire, England on April 19, 1904 to Frederick F. and Elizabeth A. Smith Creed. He grew up in the village of Walkeley Wood, Nailsworth. After the death of his father, when Ralph was 9-years-old, Ralph's mother was introduced to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and at that time, the family was converted. In 1923, Ralph immigrated to Delta, Utah where he worked for a former missionary who sponsored him. On February 8, 1928 Ralph married Blanche Petty in the LDS Salt Lake Temple.Ralph worked as a grocery store manager for over 60 years. He started in the D. Stevens Department Store in Delta, Utah, and in 1956 moved to Orem, Utah and worked for Allens Super Save for over 30 years. He became friends with his customers. Because of his dedication to the people he served, many thought of him as the owner of the store. Ralph was very dedicated to the LDS Church, and was proud to be a Priesthood holder, he loved to serve his fellowman. He was a High Priest who served in many positions in the Church. He loved the Savior, and served Him in the Temple.

Ralph is survived by his wife, Blanche; his daughter, Marie (Jerry) Robinson, of Pleasant Grove; his two sons, Myron R. Creed, of Roy, Utah; and Howard F. Creed, of Ogden, Utah; eight grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held Monday, September 28, 1998, at 1 p.m. in the Orem Hillcrest 1st Ward LDS Chapel, 1450 South 800 East. Friends may call Sunday evening, from 6-8 p.m., at the Berg Mortuary of Provo, 185 East Center Street, or Monday, at the Ward Chapel, one hour prior to service. Interment, Orem City Cemetery.
