Anastasios Pantiledes passed away September 24, 1998 from complications of diabetes.
Born May 6, 1927 in New York City to Nicholas and Katherine Tselebedes Pantiledes. Married Christine Thomas on July 17, 1949 in New York City. Served in the Navy in World War II. Lived and worked in New York and New Orleans. Always generous to family and friends; his grandchildren were his joy in his later years.Survived by wife, Christine Pantiledes; son, Steven (Yvonne) Pantiledes, Las Vegas; NV; daughter, Elizabeth (Charles) Beck, Salt Lake City; grandchildren, Alexis, Alex, Anna, Christina, Ariana, Lise, Larissa, and Kimberly; sisters, Elizabeth Derespina, and Diana Nitis; also many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by son, Joachim Pantiledes; and brother, Gus Pantelides.
Funeral service will be held Monday, September 28, 1998, at 11 a.m. in the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 279 South 300 West. Viewing and Prayer Service will be Sunday, at Deseret Memorial Mortuary, 36 E. 700 South, from 6-7:30 p.m. Interment, Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Prophet Elias Greek Orthodox Church Multipurpose Center Bldg. Fund, or the American Diabetes Association.
