Lucille Hansen Hoyt, age 88, passed away September 21, 1998 in Provo, Utah.
Born January 26, 1910 in Logan, Utah, daughter of Christian Peter and Dagna Alveda Marie Olsen Hansen. Married J. Wilmer Hoyt, June 27, 1928 in the Logan LDS Temple; he preceded her in death January 29, 1984. She lived in Logan, Utah; Marion, Utah (for most of her married life); and in Provo and Orem. She was a dedicated member of her community serving as treasurer of the Farm Bureau and teaching in 4-H Clubs. Also an active member of the LDS Church, where she served faithfully all her life as an officer and teacher in Primary, Mutual, and Relief Society. Lucille loved good music and sang with several groups and choruses. She loved gardening, good books and especially loved reading and composing poetry. Also talented in crocheting, quilting, and genealogy. She loved her family and friends and was a loving "second mother" and friend to her nephews and nieces.Survived by son, Phillip Wilmer (Jackie) Hoyt; one grandson; one great-granddaughter; many nephews and nieces. Preceded in death by parents; husband; brother, Lloyd Christian Hansen; sister, Thelma Marie Taylor.
Funeral service will be held Monday, 12 noon at Rhoades Valley LDS Stake Center, Marion, Utah, where friends may call 11-11:45 a.m. Interment, Marion Cemetery. Funeral Directors, McDougal Funeral Home.
