WOMEN'S GOLF: Junior Jaime Stevenson of BYU shot a par 73 in the second round of the Dick McGuire Invitational and jumped from 27th place into a tie for eighth in the individual standings. BYU fell one spot to 12th place as a team with a two-round score of 639.

Southern California caught up to TCU in the team standings, and the two share the lead at 612, heading into the final round.

WOMEN'S SOCCER: Seven goals from six BYU players gave the Cougar women's soccer team a 7-0 win over Butler University and its highest point total of the season Friday in Provo. The 14th-ranked Cougars' second consecutive home shutout improves their record to 7-1.

BYU plays today at 7 p.m. at home against the University of Montana.


WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL: Kalani Tonga had 18 kills and 12 digs, while Stacie Greenwalt posted 13 kills and hit .478 to lead Utah to a four-game win over Wyoming Friday night at Crimson Court. Utah won the first two games 15-11 and 15-10 before losing the third 15-9. The Utes rallied to shut down the Cowgirls in the fourth game 15-11. Utah improved to 9-3 with the victory.

The U. concludes its non-conference schedule at Utah State at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

WOMEN'S SOCCER: UC Irvine extended its unbeaten streak to eight wins by defeating Utah State 3-0 Friday at Aggie Field.

The Anteaters improved their record to 7-0-1 overall and 2-0 in the BWC while the Aggies fell to 3-5 overall and 0-2 in league play. Utah State hosts UNLV (5-2) noon Sunday at Aggie Field.
