Authorities have turned their attention back to Utah in the search for a badly malnourished child who was kidnapped last week from a Salt Lake hospital.

FBI Special Agent Craig Phillippe said Christopher and Kyndra Fink, the parents of 20-month-old David Fink, were spotted Wednesday night along U-189 near Heber City. That would put them back in Utah after being spotted earlier in Cheyenne, Wyo.

"We consider this (Heber) sighting pretty reliable," Phillippe said. Since the Cheyenne sighting was also considered reliable, "it would appear they (the Finks) have doubled back."

Kyndra had not yet given birth (she is 81/2 months pregnant) as of the Wednesday sighting, and David was still with the couple, Phillippe said. Also, they were still driving their maroon 1986 Subaru, license No. 126 KHV.

The Finks have been the object of massive hunt since Saturday, when they were seen removing their child from Primary Children's Medical Center. David Fink had been taken to the hospital by relatives who feared he was being starved to death. The child, who weighed only 16 pounds, was placed in state custody.

Investigators said the Finks apparently believe David is a prophet or Christ-child and must be fed only limited amounts of fruits and vegetables to be kept pure.

The FBI is offering a $20,000 reward for information leading to the Finks' arrest. Anyone who has seen the family is being urged to call the FBI at 1-800-796-7225.
