Roy Harrison Miller, 88, formerly of Salt Lake City, died Wednesday, September 23, 1998 at a local care center from complications following surgery.
He was born December 29, 1909 in Kentucky, the last of eight children. On June 15, 1935, Roy married Elizabeth Elva Potter in Salt Lake City. Elva died April 26, 1988. He was a member of the LDS Church. Roy served his country during World War II with the U.S. Navy. He had been a production manager at Bennett's Glass and Paint Company. Roy enjoyed fly fishing and golfing.Surviving are two sons, Richard (Jean) Miller, South Ogden; Gordon Jay (Colleen) Miller, Salt Lake City; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Roy was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.
Funeral service will be held at the graveside on Saturday at 2 p.m. at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 Highland Dr. Friends may call at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State Street, on Saturday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Funeral directors, Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary.
