Eldon "Ed" Dickinson, 86, passed away peacefully at home of natural causes, September 20, 1998.
He was born April 27, 1912 in Richfield, Utah, son of Otis and Johanna Dickinson. His mother and twin brother Ellis, died at his birth and he was raised by his aunt and uncle, Mary Estella and Ammon Nielsen. He married Theresa Hansen on June 9, 1941. They were sealed in the manti Temple on April 23, 1946.He is survived by his wife; children, Jean Rhineer; Ellis (Yetta) Dickinson; Sheila (Richard) Krebs; Carolyn (James) Jensen; Kathy (Scott) Crane; 24 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; brothers, Deloy and Dorius Nielson and sister Mildred Redd.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Leo and Alonzo Dickinson and Sister Nellie Atkinson.
In his early years he was a sheepherder, dairyman and cowboy. He worked at the Moroni Turkey Processing Plant as a foreman. He retired at the age of 75. He was a High Priest in the LDS Church and held many church positions. He was home teacher for many years and was a friend to everyone.
We love him very much. He will be missed by all who have known him.
Funeral services will be held September 24 at 1 p.m. at the Moroni Stake Center. Friends may call one hour prior to services. Interment will be in the Moroni Cemetery.
