Sadie Morgan Dietz, born March 6, 1911, in Goshen, Utah, died September 17, 1998. She was the last surviving child of the 10 children of John Morgan and Elizabeth Burraston.
She married Jacob Dietz in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on January 17, 1935. He preceded her in death, in January of 1980.She is survived by her six children: Thomas M. (Carol), Jacob J. (Darma), James M. (Mary), Melvin E. (Patricia), Ruth J. (Rene) and Donald C. (Barbara). She had 23 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren.
She and her husband worked extremely hard as owners of the XL Cleaners for many years. She later worked for the LDS Church. She loved the church and served in many callings including Ward Relief Society President. She and Jacob served a mission in Denmark. She loved her family, good literature, telling stories, writing and roses. She graduated with honors, from the University of Utah, at age 75. She loved nature and traveling. She enjoyed a trip to Israel.
In her later years, she loved going for rides in the car, and seeing the "beautiful blue sky, the Rocky Mountains, the green trees and rocks." She was an exceptional mother, grandmother and teacher. She left a legacy of generosity and kindness.
Her husband and a grandson, Douglas Dietz, preceded her in death.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 23rd at 11 a.m. in the Memorial Estates Redwood Chapel, 6500 South Redwood Road. Friends may call at the mortuary one hour prior to service.
