A three-day conference dedicated to the study of gender issues and public policy will start Wednesday at Utah Valley State College.

"We could not be more pleased with the way the conference has come together and excited about the caliber of the participants," said Lucille Stoddard, vice president for academic affairs.Susan Griffin, author of "A Chorus of Stones, Silence and Pornography," will be the keynote speaker Friday.

Funded by a grant from the Utah Humanities Council, the free conference will also feature such panelists as Utah Attorney Jan Graham, College of Eastern Utah President Grace Sawyer Jones and Luci Malin, from the Utah chapter of the National Organization for Women.
