Actor-director Christopher Reeve, paralyzed since 1995, urged lawmakers to create a national registry of brain and spinal cord injuries.

Appearing Monday in New Jersey at the Kessler Institute For Rehabilitation, where he spent seven months recuperating, Reeve said a registry would allow doctors to match people with injuries to services."The problem has been people have thought it was impossible, you cannot do anything for someone with brain trauma or someone with spinal cord injury," Reeve said. "That is simply false."
