Dixie High quarterback Lance Pendleton put up huge passing numbers in the Flyers' 42-28 victory over Hurricane last Friday. He completed 17 of 22 passes for 407 yards and four TDs.

Pendleton's passing yardage ranks him fifth on the state's all-time single-game performance list. Former Olympus QB Lance Rice set the state record in 1995, when he threw for 471 yards in a 53-24 win over Tooele. Orem's Marc McCann had the fourth-highest passing game with 414 yards against Mountain View a week and a half ago.Jesse Watts from Inez, Kent., holds the national record of 651 yards in a game in 1991.
