Natalie Kathryn Ellertson Orme, age 84, died September 16, 1998 at her home in Nephi, Utah.

She was born July 1, 1914 in Santaquin, Utah, to John Louis and Cathrine Johnson Okander Ellertson. She married Max L. Orme of Nephi, March 23, 1936 in Salt Lake City. Marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. He died July 20, 1989.She grew up in Santaquin and Mona. She worked at her Uncle's drugstore in Magna for two years before marrying Max. She was active in church, politics, civic clubs and was an avid sports fan. She served in the LDS Church as: MIA president (15 years), newspaper editor, Relief Society teacher, Guide Patrol leader, and other positions in every auxiliary. She ran for city council in the 60s and worked numerous times as an election judge and as Precinct Chairman. As a member of the Ladies Literary League Federated Women's Club, she was instrumental in projects as varied as new signs for Nephi City, The Hugh O'Brien Scholarship Fund, to supplying books to local schools. She served in local, district, and state positions, including President and State Chairman of the Home Life Dept of GFWC. After Max retired, he an Natalie traveled around the world seeing their children and enjoying senior citizen trips.

Survived by daughters, Nancy (Max) Anderson, of Nephi, UT; Patricia (Michael) Gordon, of Santa Barbara, CA; Victoria Orme, of Salt Lake City, UT; sons, Max Paul (Karen) Orme, of Seattle, WA; John (Karin) Orme, Of Salt Lake City, UT; Bevan (Pam) Orme, of Eielson AFB, Alaska; and Alden (Lisa) Orme, of Nephi, UT; 40 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Max; and daughter, Kathryn Cherry Hacking.

Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, September 21, 1998 in the Nephi Stake Center, 351 North 100 West. Friends may call Sunday evening, 6-8 p.m. at Anderson Funeral Home, 94 West 300 North, and at the church one hour prior to service. Burial in the Vine Bluff Cemetery, Nephi, Utah.
