God reached out His hand and lead Shirlie home at the age of 66. Our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully September 17, 1998 from natural causes.
She was born June 15, 1932 in Salt Lake City, Utah, to David and Grace Palmquist. She graduated from Murray High School in 1949 and worked as a telephone operator in Murray. She married Leslie H. White in 1951, later divorced, and later married Michael C. Loulias in 1954. She worked for Deca Records, Romney's Gift Tree, and did work as an interior designer. Previous to retiring she designed and built miniature dollhouses and loved dolls. Shirlie will always be remembered for her "gift of gab" with everyone she came in contact with. She was very talented and loved to cook. Her specialty was cooking Greek food that her Greek husband said could only be matched by his mother. She will be remembered and missed for all that she did and for all who she touched.She is survived by her daughter Christie; her son Michael; six grandchildren, Troy and Tony Van Komen, Erin and Justin Morrison, Alexandra and Brandon Loulias; and one great-grandchild, Madison Van Komen, who all knew her as "Nana".
A Service will be held in her honor prior to the burial Saturday, September 19, 1998 at 2 p.m. at Redwood Memorial Estates located at 6500 South Redwood Road Salt Lake City, Utah.
