- Regence BlueCross BlueShield of Utah has promoted Michael N. Mitchell to executive vice president. As executive vice president, Mitchell will oversee the day-to-day operations of Utah's largest health insurance company.- PacifiCorp has appointed Robert R. Dalley as corporate controller and chief accounting officer.

- William H. Nelson, president of Intermountain Health Care, has been elected to the Board of Directors of the American Association of Health Plans, based in Washington, D.C. Stephen Miller, MD, has joined the IHC Physician Group at the Cottonwood Speciality Clinic, where he will practice cardiovascular medicine. Craig M. Grose, MD, has joined the IHC Physician Group Internal Medicine practice at 700 S. U-99 in Fillmore.

- Sumner Swaner, owner of Swaner Design, has been selected by Gov. Mike Leavitt to serve on the Landscape Architects Board for the Utah Department of Commerce.
