A California man is facing felony charges alleging he set minks free and vandalized a South Jordan fur farm in 1996.

The man, 22, and others set 3,000 minks free and destroyed genetic records at the Holt Mink Ranch July 17, 1996, prosecutors believe. The raid caused $200,000 in damage to the business, according to the charges filed in 3rd District Court Wednesday.The man faces one count each of criminal mischief, a second-degree felony, burglary, a third-degree felony, and release of fur bearing animals, a third-degree felony.
