Brigham Young University's Multicultural Student Services is sponsoring several activities to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month.
A Hispanic student panel discussion took place Thursday morning in 2150 Jesse Knight Humanities Building. The topic for the discussion was "Issues Affecting Latinos."A free carnival will be in the Wilkinson Center Garden Court on Saturday from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. The carnival will include food, games, dance instruction, prizes, cultural booths and more. A Latin dance will follow the carnival from 9 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. The dance will be in the ELWC Terrace and will cost $2 with a student ID card and $3 without a student card.
Brigadier General Cortez from the Marine Corps will speak on Thursday, Sept. 24, at 7 p.m. in 3228 Wilkinson Center.
