Afghanistan's Taliban leaders and the United Nations are trying to arrange for a U.N. team to go to Afghanistan following the Taliban takeover of a key province. The invitation comes amid reports that Taliban troops carried out mass killings after its takeover of the northern city of Mazar-e-Sharif. A U.N. refugee agency reported Tuesday that people fleeing the city reported a "killing frenzy" following the Taliban's Aug. 8 takeover.
