United Way's Day of Caring will be Thursday, Sept. 17, beginning with a tailgate breakfast at Cougar Stadium followed by volunteer service projects.

The breakfast will be served 7:30-8:30 a.m. at the southwest entrance to Cougar Stadium, with Coach LaVell Edwards, Brigham Young University President Merrill J. Bateman, Utah Valley State College President Kerry Romesburg and KUTV news personalities doing the cooking and serving.Service projects will follow the breakfast with volunteers comprised of employees from BYU, UVSC, Geneva Steel, Nu Skin, Intermountain Health Care, Key Bank and many other organizations. Some of the projects they will be involved with include washing windows, painting walls, installing a sprinkler system, laying sod and canning and sorting food. BYU and UVSC athletes will be sorting food donated by UVSC for Community Action's food bank.
