BYU running back Ronney Jenkins, who stole the spotlight in the Cougars win over Arizona State Saturday, still holds the national record for most rushing yards in a game by a high school football player. During his senior season, Jenkins rushed for 619 yards in one game while playing for Oxnard Hueneme, Calif., in 1995. The Utah record was set in 1989 when Woods Cross' Kitt Rawlings ran for 423 yards against Bountiful.
