Richard M. Coombs, 72, died September 13, 1998 at the Brigham City Community Hospital.
He was born Nov. 6, 1925 in Farmington the son of Elmer and Alice Millard Coombs. He married Connie Charlotte Andreasen May 20, 1950 in Brigham City. Their marriage was solemnized May 22, 1967 in the Logan LDS Temple. She died July 7, 1998.Richard was reared and educated in Fielding and graduated from Bear River High School. He worked at Hill Air Force Base as an Electronics Technician. After his retirement he owned and operated a refrigeration and air conditioning business.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He was a member of the Fielding LDS Ward.
Surviving are three sons and their spouses, Richard Leland (LuAnn) Coombs, Garland; Terry Lynn (Brenda) Coombs, Memphis, Tennessee; Roland A. (Jackie) Coombs, Fielding; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Also surviving is one brother, Douglas E. (Marlene) Coombs, Garland. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister.
Funeral service will be held Thursday, Sept. 17, 1998, 12 noon at the Fielding Stake Center. Friends may call Wednesday 6-8 p.m. at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East, Tremonton, and Thur., 10:15-11:45 a.m. at the church. Interment in the Fielding Cemetery.
