A fight after the University of Utah's victorious football game Saturday featured one man swinging a samurai sword and another combatant with brass knuckles.

The fight ended with three arrests.Officers received a call about the fight at 12:42 a.m. Sunday outside the Pie Pizzeria, 1340 E. 200 South. The restaurant is a popular hangout for university students.

The fight apparently started after one man asked another for a cigarette lighter. The other man didn't have a lighter.

A few minutes later, the two met up again. This time, the one who had wanted the cigarette lighter said he'd found it and blew smoke in the other man's face, a Salt Lake police report states.

That started a free-for-all, with one man on the ground being kicked repeatedly, police said. One of his friends took up the samurai sword and was swinging it around when officers arrived.

Three men, two of them 18 and one 19, were booked into the Salt Lake County Jail for investigation of aggravated assault.
