Sure a bit of heaven left this earth with the passing away of Martin J. Fennell, 87, of Eureka on September 10, 1998.
Martin was born July 12, 1911, the last surviving member of the P.J. and Ellen Duggan Fennell family. He was a lifetime resident of Eureka where he worked as a meat cutter and miner. He was active in politics, music, and a devout member of St. Patrick's Catholic Parish.Martin is survived by his wife of 58 years, Margaret Ekker Fennell, Eureka; a son and two daughters, JoRae (Terry) Kay, Martin Jr. (Deon) Fennell, all of Salt Lake City; and Eileen (Craig) Lindsay, Bakersfield, CA; 11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Eureka on Monday September 14, 1998, at 11 a.m. Friends may call Sunday from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Holy Rosary will follow the visitation at the Holladay Hills Funeral Home, 66 South 300 East, Santaquin and Monday from 10:30 a.m. prior to the Mass at the church. Burial in the Eureka City Cemetery.
