MEN'S GOLF: Weber State's men's golf team opens its 1998 season this Friday through Sunday (Sep. 11-13) at the U.S. Air Force Academy's Falcon Invitational. Eighteen holes will be played each day starting at 8 a.m.
The 54-hole tournament will be held at the 7,301-yard, par-72 Eisenhower Blue Course located at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colo.
WOMEN'S SOCCER: The Wildcats will battle the Cowgirls of the University of Wyoming this Saturday at 3 p.m. in Ogden at the P.E. Playfield located on campus.
The Weber State women's soccer team finished up their in-state series with a 2-1 loss at BYU and a 2-0 shutout of the University of Utah at home. The Wildcats had previously suffered a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Utah State. Weber State is now 2-2 on the season.
CROSS COUNTRY: The T-Birds' men's and women's cross country teams take to the road again this week, traveling to Huntington Beach, Calif., for the Asics/UC-Irvine Invitational. Approximately 15 teams in each of the men's and women's race are expected. The women's 5,000-meter race begins at 9 a.m. (PST) and the men's 8,000-meter competition starts at 9:45 a.m. (PST).
