Frank Charles Gattung, Jr., 95 of Salmon, Idaho passed away at his home on September 6, 1998.

Frank was born on September 25, 1902 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Frank Charles and Charlotte Peterson Gattung. He married Lela B. Nielsen on August 9, 1922 in Salt Lake. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple.He was well known in scouting circles, having served as both scout master and leader for many years in Salt Lake City and California. He was employed by Greyhound Bus Lines as a mechanic for more than 30 years before retiring and moving to Fairfield, California in 1963. He was employed by Bill Gattung, Inc. in California until retiring again and moving to Salmon, Idaho in 1977.

He is survived by one son, William (Lois)

Gattung, of Salmon; two daughters, Joyce

(Ernie) Miner of Clearfield, Utah; Delores

(LaMarr) Hutchison of Salt Lake City; eight

grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at the Salmon Stake Center, Salmon, Idaho on Wednesday, September 9, 1998 at 11 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with Bishop James Sessions conducting. The family will

receive friends at the Church for one hour prior to the services. Graveside services will be held at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Salt Lake City, Utah on Thursday, September 10, 1998 at 2 p.m. Arrangements and services under the direction of

Salmon River Funeral Chapel of 504 Finstur St., Salmon, Idaho.
