A house was demolished and a vehicle totaled when a truck ran into a residence at 437 N. 600 West late Monday.
Just the day before, another driver hit a fire hydrant and a fence in the same vicinity, at 400 N. 550 West.Police Lt. Bob Conner said both drivers were known to have been drinking at the time of the accidents.
Monday night's accident caused an estimated $35,000 damage to the home. Flying debris caused minor injuries to two people sitting in a car in the home's driveway.
Conner said the truck's driver was charged with driving under the influence and cited for improper registration and no insurance. A passenger in the vehicle was cited with possession of an open container of alcohol, he said.
