Our loving father and grandfather passed away on September 4, 1998, in Salt Lake City, at age 91.

He was born on December 1, 1906, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Clarence Shipp Curtis and Anne Maria Bates. He married Thelma Gregory, and Zelma Christensen, who both preceded him in death. He loved to work in botany, electronics, compete in checker competitions, and spend time with his grandchildren.He is survived by his children, Myron Curtis, Jr., California; Carol Monson, West Valley City, Utah; step-children, Donna Johnson and R.D. Christensen. He is also survived by 67 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren; four sisters, Mary, Ruth, Rhea and Josephine; brother, Norman. He was preceded in death by two children, Mary and Dan; eight brothers and sisters; and some grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 9, 1998, at 11 a.m. at the Deseret Memorial Mortuary, 36 East 700 South. Friends and family may call on Tuesday, September 8, 1998, 6 to 8 p.m. and one hour prior to service on Wednesday. Interment will be in Lake Hills Memorial Park.
