Sadie Marie Bowen Siddoway Sawley, age 94, passed away Friday, Sept. 4, 1998 at the Rocky Mountain Care Center in Heber City, Utah.
She was born October 23, 1903 in Hoytsville, Utah to Edward Howell Bowen and Blanche Rishton Bowen. Marie married Ross Owen Siddoway June 4, 1924; he passed away May 17, 1944 in a mine accident. She married Edward Sawley August 17, 1946; he passed away September 16, 1962.She cooked for the Chicken Inn, Dean's Coffee Shop, Dean Vernon's Cafe, Kozy Cafe and Summit County Hospital. She clerked at the Summit Merc and ran the liquor store in Coalville for many years, retiring October 1st as she turned 81 on October 23rd.
Surviving are son, Ross (Imogene) Siddoway, Coalville, Utah; and daughter, Gwen (Jack) Hanson, Salt Lake City; stepdaughters, Josephine Griggs, Burlingame, CA; Velma (George) Vickrey, Evansville, WY; Sal Gilcrest; stepdaughter-in-law, Ann Sawley, West Point, UT. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, six great great-grandchildren, and eight great great great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by both husbands; son, Dale (wife, Midge) Siddoway; grandson, Bobby Clark; one stepson, Ray Sawley; two stepsons-in-law, Elmer Griggs and Bill Gilcrest; three sisters, Mabel Vernon, Eva Vernon and Myrtle Shaw; and a brother, Ted Bowen.
The family would like to express gratitude to the health care workers in the Rocky Mountain Care Center in Heber City for the compassion and friendship shown to Marie in the last three years.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 8, 1998 at 1 p.m. in the Coalville Stake Chapel. Friends may call at the Walker Mortuary in Coalville Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Interment, Coalville City Cemetery.
