Donald L. Larson born January 10, 1928 in Gunnison, Utah to Lynn Clifton and Olive Rhea Peacock Larson. Devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother, passed away Sept. 2, 1998 at home with his family at his side after a very courageous battle with cancer.

He was a member of the Utah National Guard for 38 years - serving active duty in Korea. Retired in 1986 from American Oil Company with 33 years of service. Active member of the LDS Church. Married his sweetheart, Marilyn Eatchel (Whimpy) on March 23, 1949, the marriage was later solemnized in the LDS Manti Temple. Don and Whimp had a love affair that will last forever.Survivors: his wife; son, Donald Brent "Rusty" (Jolleen); daughter, Julie Ann Dugdale; five grandchildren, Matt and Kristen Dugdale, Brent Joel "B.J.", James Lynn, Jared Lyndon Larson; sister, Mrs. Bill (Karen) Barton; brother-in-law, Frank "Skip" Eatchel. Preceded in death by parents; sister, Gayle Nordell and brother, Paul Larson.

At Don's request there will be no viewing nor funeral. Friends and family are invited to join in a celebration of Don's life on Monday, Sept. 7, 1998 from 7-9 p.m. at the Cottonwood 10th Ward, 4930 S. Westmoor Road (Enter off Murray Holladay Road, 1665 East 4750 So. Kings Row Drive to Delaware Lane). Graveside services will be held at Murray City Cemetery, 5600 So. Vine St., Tuesday, Sept. 8, 1998 at 12 noon. Friends and family are welcome. Funeral Directors Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary.

Darling, the greatest tragedy in life is not to be loved - we've had it all. God has been good to us.
