Helen Arlene Vent Sartore, passed away on September 2, 1998 in Salt Lake City.

Born to Mary Garretson Vent and Henry Alfred Vent on June 12, 1917. She had one brother, Wilbur Henry Vent. He preceded her in death.As a young girl she was a Job's Daughter, attended the University of Utah. She loved horses and was the Lady Rider of the Edgemont Stables, and rode in many horse shows.

Married Charles J. Sartore, Jr., on November 20, 1940. Moved to Denver, Colorado in 1941 and lived there for 15 years. She worked as a florist for 10 years. She was president of a preschool and active in PTA. In 1955 the family returned to Salt Lake, where they lived until her death. Helen and Charles belonged to the Airstream Club (W.B.C.C.I.) and the telephone club (The Rolling Phones). She knit stocking hats for abused children that the Telephone Co. got credit for. Hats were also made for the LDS Hospital intensive care unit for premature babies.

She is survived by her husband, Charles J. Sartore, Jr.; one son, Donald Paul Sartore; and one grandson, Anthony Paul Sartore.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 1998 at 2 p.m. at Mount Olivet Cemetery, 1342 East 500 South.
