Robert "Doc" Wilhelm passed away August 15, 1998, due to heart problems.

Robert was born August 24, 1946, in Salt Lake City, Utah to A. Lewis and LaMar Wilhelm, and lived most of his life in the Salt Lake area. He attended Olympus High School. He joined the army and was sent to Viet Nam in 1968, where he received his nick name "Doc." He was awarded the Purple Heart and Combat Medal.He married his surviving wife, Clairinda (Burris) Wilhelm in 1990, and moved to Firth, Idaho in 1992, where he resided at the time of his death. He especially loved to hear his wife sing: "Put me in your pocket, so I'll be close to you. Then no more will I be lonely. Then no more will I be blue." He loved to search everywhere for just the right rock for his collection.

Robert is survived by his wife, Clairinda, children Melissa, Merry, and Royal, his father, A. Lewis Wilhelm, and his six brothers and sisters (Kent, Jim, Phyllis, Doug, Pam and Ann).

Memorial services will be held September 8th at 1 p.m. at Jesus' People Ministries Church, 312 W. Gentile St., Layton, (Exit 332 then N. to Gentile St.)
