San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown loves a good movie, especially since it means a few hours of escape from the problems of City Hall.

About twice a week, he walks from his penthouse to one of two downtown theaters, waits in line for a ticket like everyone else and heads to a seat."I become part of the movie, literally," said Brown, who said he didn't flinch once in his cushioned seat during a recent screening of "Saving Private Ryan."

He usually chooses a movie that starts about 10 p.m. and will sit through anything. His all-time favorite may be "The Godfather Part III" because of his cameo with Al Pacino. He also had a bit part in "George of the Jungle."

"I'm not too concerned about which movie I see," he said. "There's no movie I don't like."
