Dorothy Jane Thompson Pritchard, age 82, died August 28, 1998 at St. Marks Hospital.

Born October 16, 1915 in Salt Lake City to William Ora and Caroline Sanders Thompson. Married John Winston Pritchard on June 21, 1939 in Salt Lake City.Dorothy enjoyed gardening and golf before arthritis restricted her activities. She was active at Nibley Park and Bonneville golf courses from the late 1940's through the early 1980's; Utah State Womens Driving Champion in 1949. Member of Lybia Temple No. 32, Daughters of the Nile and past officer of the Canyon Breeze Garden Club. Member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church.

Survived by a sister, Gladys Stirling, of Salt Lake City; two sons, David Alinston, of Kinnelon, New Jersey and John William, of Missoula, Montana; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A graveside memorial will be held Sunday, September 6th, at 2 p.m., Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 1342 E. 500 So. Friends are invited for refreshments at the Pritchard's house, 2652 Mountcrest Drive, following the memorial.
