Good news for Jane Pauley: She's in line for a lofty award.

Pauley, the "Dateline NBC" anchor, has been chosen to receive the Paul White Award from the Radio-Television News Directors Association. Named for CBS' first news director, the prize recognizes an individual's lifetime contribution to electronic journalism."Jane Pauley embodies the award's criteria for trustworthiness and integrity in reporting," Barbara Cochran, the association's president, said Monday.

Pauley is the principal anchor for four weekly editions of "Dateline NBC." She also is an anchor of MSNBC's "Time and Again" and fills in for Tom Brokaw on "NBC Nightly News."
