Reliever Travis Miller held Albuquerque scoreless while nailing down the final five outs Tuesday night as the Salt Lake Buzz beat the Dukes 3-2 in the Pacific Coast League.

Miller, who picked up his ninth save, came on in the eighth after the Dukes had scored once and had the tying run on third base with one out.He quickly ended the Albuquerque rally with a ground out and a strike out.

Miller then shut out the Dukes in the ninth, although he did yield a walk.

Albuquerque opened the scoring with J.P. Roberge's solo home run in the first inning.

Esteban Beltre singled home the tying run for Salt Lake in the third, and Chris Latham put the Buzz on top with an RBI single in the fifth. Salt Lake used an unearned run in the eighth to take a 3-1.

With one out in the bottom of the eighth, Albuquerque's Eric Stuckenschneider walked. Jack Jones brought him home with a triple to cut the Dukes' deficit to 3-2, and on came Miller to take control for the Buzz.

Salt Lake starter Mark Redman (6-6) got the win. He pitched six innings, giving up one run on four hits while striking out five.

Ricky Stone (4-5) was the loser.
