Helen Garff Crossgrove Dodson, age 90, passed away Aug. 28, 1998 in Sandy, Utah.
Born Sept. 5, 1907 in Draper, Utah to Bayard Mousley and Matilda Jane Garff Crossgrove. Married John Frederick Dodson on October 16, 1947 in Bountiful, UT. She was a lifetime member of the LDS Church. A member of Daughters of Utah Pioneers. Helen was a legal secretary for a corporate law firm in Salt Lake City. She moved with her husband to Independence, MO, where she was the secretary to the president of Allis Chalmers Manufacturing Co. She returned to Utah in 1985, after the death of her husband, where she was an active member of the Midvalley 4th, Sandy and then the Draper 6th Wards. She returned to Draper to provide loving care to her sister, Hulda, prior to her passing.She was preceded in death by her husband; brothers, Avar, Paul, Ralph and sister, Hulda (Susan) Crossgrove. She is survived by her niece, Sue Crossgrove Wagner, nephew, Larry Crossgrove, numerous grand-nieces and nephews.
She has been a loving and caring aunt to all the family and a quiet and humble example to all.
Funeral services Wednesday, Sept. 2, 1998, 1 p.m. at the Draper 6th Ward, 12870 So. 1300 East, where friends may call one hour prior to services. Interment: Draper City Cemetery. Funeral Directors: Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary
