Our dear husband, father, grandfather and best friend passed away Sunday, August 30, 1998 after a short but courageous struggle with cancer at age 74.
He was born March 24, 1924 in Ogden, Utah. He served in the Navy during World War II in the South Pacific and was a Pearl Harbor survivor. He married the love of his life, Beverly Cox on May 20, 1950. They were happily married for 48 years.Russ was a successful businessman, starting his own car dealership in 1967. He and his three sons have operated "Motor City" for over 31 years and we are grateful to him for his leadership and sacrifices he made to his personal life to keep things going. His greatest joy was his family. He was a devoted husband and father and the best "Grampa" a kid could ever have.
We will dearly miss his warmth and humor.
Survived by his wife, Beverly; children, Randy Mullen (Bonnie); Scot Mullen (Belinda); Dave Mullen (Brandie); grandchildren, Jenny, Jamie, Angie, Kristen, Caitlin, Codie, Candice, Russell and Jeremy.
Graveside service will be held Wednesday, September 2, 1998 at 11 a.m. in the Murray City Cemetery, 5600 South and Vine Street.
