At a recent meeting of the European Parliament, members of the Green Party proposed that the World Meteorological Institute name storms and hurricanes after members of the Global Climate Coalition, companies (Exxon, General Motors and Ford among them) who deny that carbon emissions are contributing to climactic changes.

The new names, said the Green Party, would change newspaper headlines to read, for instance: "Exxon Kills 20 in Miami."The measure was rejected by the Parliament.
