Mary Antoinette Yanni completed her sojourn to her heavenly father, finding peace on August 29, 1998.

She was born on September 27, 1903, in Cosenza, Italy, to Victor and Conchetta Pate Perri.She married Ralph Yanni on June 29, 1918, in Price, Utah. He died January 30, 1959. They had three children, Francis Joseph, Ernest, and Mary Alvera, all of whom were dearly loved by Mary.

She is survived by her daughter, Mary Alvera (Victor) Polanshek, and daughters-in-law, Mary K. and Betty Yanni; 14 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother, John Perri; sisters, Anna Pryanovich, Gloria Veltri, and Eva Wennerstrom; and many nieces and nephews. She had many dear friends, especially Mary Ajello, Mary Mayo, and her neighbor, Maxine. She was an active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

She was also preceded in death by her sons, Francis Joseph and Ernest; and brothers, Joe and Mike Perri, and Mike, Frank, Ralph and Charles Aeillo.

The family would like to especially thank Dr. Beth Hanlon and the staff of the TCU at Salt Lake Regional Medical Center for their care and support of Mary and her family.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Sacred Hearth Catholic Church, 174 East 900 South. A Vigil Service will be held Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Neil O'Donnell and Sons Mortuary, 372 East 100 South, where friends may call from 6-7 p.m. Committal: Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 4th Avenue and "T" Street.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to be made in Mary's name to either Sacred Heart Building Fund, 948 South 200 East, Salt Lake City, UT 84111, or the Carmel of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Convent, 5714 So. Holladay Blvd., Salt Lake City, UT 84121.
