Most of the news printed in newspapers these days is not good news, but bad news. I do not enjoy reading the news but feel that it is necessary to be informed about the current events that are usually sickening in nature.

What a pleasant surprise. On Saturday, Aug. 15, I enjoyed reading the front page. I actually enjoyed reading "Al's Pals put `act' in activist," " `Road Warriors' are coping on life's truly bumpy roads," and "Lifelong stutterer faces struggle for simple speech."These three articles were "good" news about "good" people. Bless you and the good people you featured. You made my day.
