Republican Jeb Bush has a wide lead over his Democratic opponent in the race for Florida governor, according to a new poll.
In a telephone survey of 804 register voters by Mason-Dixon Political/Media Research Inc., 51 percent favored Bush and 35 percent supported Lt. Gov. Buddy MacKay, with the rest undecided. Both are unopposed in Tuesday's primary.The poll was released Thursday and was conducted Monday and Tuesday. It had a margin of error of 3.5 percent.
In the state's U.S. Senate race, Democratic incumbent Bob Graham maintains a 31-point lead over his likely Republican rival, state Sen. Charlie Crist, the poll showed.
