TV star and cancer survivor Robert Urich, riding high as captain of the Love Boat, will be at the helm of this year's Hollywood Christmas Parade.

The former star of "Vega$" and "Spenser For Hire" was named grand marshal for the 67th annual holiday parade through the heart of Hollywood. The parade featuring celebrities, floats and marching bands will be broadcast nationwide by UPN on Nov. 29.Urich, 51, underwent chemotherapy, radiation treatments and two operations in the mid-1990s to successfully fight synovial cell sarcoma. He has been cancer-free for more than a year.

Previous Hollywood Christmas Parade grand marshals have included John Wayne, James Stewart and Sammy Davis Jr. Comedian Tom Arnold led the parade last year.
