Beloved mother, Hedy Trauffer Davies, 92, died peacefully August 27, 1998.
Born October 21, 1905 in Matten, Interlaken, Switzerland to Friedrich and Margaritha Trauffer. She was married in the Salt Lake Temple and had four children. Her dedication to family and the LDS Church was the central theme of her life having been a great teacher to boys in Primary, children in Sunday School and sisters in Relief Society, serving in many capacities in ward and stake organizations. She fulfilled missions to Switzerland and Germany and was a long-time, faithful temple worker. She worked for years at the Hotel Utah and later as an LPN at LDS Hospital.Survived by three children, Venice (Roy) Kratzer, Los Altos, California; Leon (Marilyn) Davies, Bountiful; Gwen (Jack) Simpson, Sandy; 18 grandchildren; 59 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; sister, Dorothy Taylor, Sun City West, Arizona; brother; Alfred Trauffer, San Francisco, California. Preceded in death by her parents; brother, Walter Trauffer; son, David Davies; grandchild, Steven Simpson.
Funeral service will be held Monday, August 31, 1998, 12 noon at the Jordan North Stake Center, 3900 South 4000 West. Friends and family may call Sunday, 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and Monday at the church, 11-11:45 a.m. Interment, Redwood Memorial Estates.
