Joyce Louise Lindahl Stephens, age 75, of Midvale, Utah, a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother passed away peacefully, August 27, 1998, due to complications from Alzheimer's disease.

Born to Glen Niels Lindahl and Ruth Isgreen Lindahl on March 9, 1923 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Married Joseph Robert Stephens on November 5, 1942. He preceded her in death. She taught dancing at the Manya Martell studio of Dance Arts of Salt Lake City with her brother, Bob. Later she taught tap, toe, and ballet at a Martell studio in Midvale.Joyce was a very loving and compassionate person who helped raise her grandchildren. She was very devoted to her family. Joyce lived in West Covina and Hemet, California and also Lake Havasu, Arizona.

She is survived by her daughters, Judy Ann Stephens Fullmer, Sacramento, California; JoAnn (James) McLellan, Park City, Utah; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; also survived by her brother, Robert Glen Lindahl; sister-in-law, Viola Lindahl, Sandy, Utah. Preceded in death by a son, Joseph Robert Stephens Jr.; and three grandchildren.

Many thanks to the Rocky Mountain Care Center in Heber City, Utah for the love and great care they showed her in the last few years of Joyce's life.

Funeral service will be held Monday, August 31, 1998 at 1 p.m. in the Goff Mortuary Chapel 8090 South State St., where friends may call Sunday 6-8 p.m. and Monday one hour prior to service. Interment, Tooele City Cemetery.
