An agricultural company was fined $480,000 for making illegal contributions to President Bush in 1992 and Sen. Bob Dole in 1993.

Sun-Land Products of California, a dried fruits and nuts supplier based in Pleasanton, pleaded guilty Wednesday. The company ad-mitted it gave $37,000 through its directors to Bush's re-election campaign and Dole's political action committee, prosecutors said.Corporate contributions to federal candidates are illegal.
