Globally expanding Nu Skin Enterprises intends to begin operations in Scandinavia next month.

The networking marketing company will start selling its personal-care products in Sweden and Den-mark on Sept. 17."Sweden is a particularly attractive direct selling market due to its size and recent growth," said Steven J. Lund, president and chief executive officer.

The country's direct selling market grew 33 percent in 1997 to $120 million in annual sales, according to the World Federation of Direct Selling Associations. Denmark posted $40 million in direct sales revenue last year.

With addition of the two new markets, Nu Skin now sells products in 26 countries worldwide. It previously announced plans to do business in South America by the end of the year.
